How We Help
Sankofa is a West African philosophy from Ghana that promotes moving forward while looking back to your roots for guidance. Sankofa means "go back and fetch it." It teaches us to look to the past (our roots) so we may understand how we became what we are, and move forward to a better future. Whatever we have lost, forgotten, forgone, or have been stripped of, can be RECLAIMED, REVIVED, PRESERVED and PERPETUATED.

The choice to reach out for help is often a difficult choice to make. But, when our life’s journey presents us with challenges and obstacles, it can be difficult to face this journey alone. Our goal is to create a safe, empowering environment, and to develop a strong, therapeutic relationship. We will move through this part of your healing and wellness journey as a team. Together, we will develop attainable treatment goals, during sessions that are tailored and structured based on your individual wants and needs. We look forward to meeting you and working together in the future.
